A serial transfer device for transferring in series a plurality of parallel signals includes a conversion unit for selectively converting a plurality of parallel signals into serial signals and outputting the serial signals; a connection unit, including one terminal connected to the conversion unit so as to receive serial signals outputted by the conversion unit and another terminal connected to a serial transfer line; and a conversion order storage function for storing the sequence of selecting the plurality of parallel signals and converting them into serial signals by means of the conversion unit. The conversion unit converts a plurality of parallel signals into serial signals and outputs the serial signals, in accordance with the sequence stored in the conversion sequence storage function (S202-S212).
