Title:
SERVER RACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004079851
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a server rack which can effectively disperse heat inside the rack to an outside without providing an air hole and a ventilation fan by providing a panel itself forming the rack with a radiation function.

A front panel 1, a back panel 2 and right and left side panels 3, 4 are built in together with a top plate 5 and a base plate 6 to a cube of which inside is closed airtightly with the rack 9 therein. The panels 1, 2, 3, 4 are formed of a light metallic plate material having a number of radiation fins A in an outer surface thereof. At least the front panel 1 is connected to any one of the adjacent right and left side panels 3, 4 rotatively around a vertical axis via a hinge member 8 and forms a practical door. Consequently, heat generated from a computer stored inside and a peripheral equipment is dispersed to an outside from the radiation fin A formed in each panel, and temperature rise inside the server rack is restrained effectively.
