PURPOSE: To enable setting of all sorts of shapes of band saw teeth, by varying an angle of a working face for grinding of a unit of a grinder.

CONSTITUTION: A band saw tooth A is secured by a retaining plate 10 and a grinder 21 which has been lifted up is descended along with a base shaft 19. At this time, an abrasive grain of the grinder touches the band saw tooth for grinding. Then, the grinder 21 starts ascending and retaining by the retaining plate 10 is released for grinding the next tooth. Taking this opportunity, a ginding wheel angle of the grinder 21 is switched over by a rotation of the base shaft 19. Then, contact between the next band saw tooth and the grinder is started. The above operation is controlled by a microcomputor 36.
