To perform consistent and appropriate active control on vehicle vibration by installing a vehicle vibration detection sensor on a vehicle to be inspected, obtaining optimum filter coefficient data, storing them in a storage device, dismounting the storage device, and applying an active mount control device to mass-production vehicles.
A pick-up acceleration sensor 14 is installed on a seat 13 for example of all the mass-production vehicles or of an automobile M out of a production lot. An adaptive control section 40 implements 'the delay harmonic synthesizer-least mean squares adaptive control' and sweeps the number of revolutions in a bandwidth of the revolving speed (frequency) to be controlled to obtain the updated optimum filter coefficient at a random revolving speed. These updated data are stored in a data table ROM. Then, the data table ROM is dismounted from the automobile M and stored in an active control device 30 of the mass-production vehicles. The stored data allow a consistent and appropriate active control to be applied to the vibration of mass-production vehicles.
