To provide a setting system for loom, enabling a threshold level for a yarn signal to be set in high accuracy while observing the waveform of the yarn signal.
The setting system (20) for loom comprises yarn abnormality detecting means (21 and 22) functioning to compare a yarn signal with a predetermined threshold level and give an abnormality signal based on the result, a loom controller (40) functioning to halt the loom in response to the abnormality signal, a setting display (41) connected to the yarn abnormality detecting means (21 and 22) and the loom controller (40) and functioning to input setting information including the threshold level and display the information from the loom controller (40) on a display (43), and a memory means (30) functioning to memorize the yarn signal over a predetermined period and connected to the setting display (41). In this system (20), the setting display (41) functions to read out the waveform of the yarn signal momorized in the memory means (30) and display the waveform and the threshold level superimposedly on the display (43).
