The sewage management system for managing a sewage treating apparatus provided with the phosphorus removing device has a monitoring device with a communication function provided so as to monitor the abnormality of the metallic electrode to be installed at the phosphorus removing device on the side of a customer and a receiver disposed on the side of the maintenance company. When the monitoring device with the communication function detects the abnormality of the metallic electrode, the device transmits abnormality information to the receiver disposed on the side of the maintenance company.
