Abstract:

To surely prevent water leakage from a sewage carrying pipe for the purpose of preventing clogging of the sewage carrying pipe due to consolidation.

The screening pumping apparatus is provided with a piston pump 11 having a discharge piston 7, a discharge cylinder 8 and a gate valve 10 contained in a valve box 9 disposed in the discharge side of the discharge cylinder 8; the sewage carrying pipe 12 connected to the discharge cylinder 8 via the gate valve 10; and a slide ring 14 advancingly and retreatingly closely attached to at least one outer periphery of the sewage carrying pipe 12 and discharge cylinder 8, with one end brought into pressure contact with the gate valve 10 when the gate valve 10 is closed, to prevent water leakage from the sewage carrying pipe 12.
