To enable a partial color change of a string at a position extremely close to a string seaming position formed on cloth by coloring an upper string 3 immediately before it is sewn for embroidery.
A main body 36 having an ink-jet head 32 is fixed at the lower end of a holding rod 2 of an embroidering sewing machine through a fixing adapter 31. At the top of the main body 36, there is a vertically bored-through needle hole 36a which a sewing needle 6 and an upper string 3 go through. On the side face of the needle hole 36a, ink-jetting nozzles 37a of an ink-jet head 32 are lined vertically. When a balance reaches at the top position of the main axis position of about 30°, an ink is jetted out to color the upper string 3, which is about vertical at that time, while the string is going from a seam crossing point on the cloth and a diamond-shaped guide-needle hole 36g of a cloth holding face 36i to a needle hole 6a of the sewing needle 6.
