Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can sew a high-quality pattern even without using a tambour.SOLUTION: In a sewing machine 1, a pattern is sewn while a fabric 100 is fed by a feed dog 2a in a sewing direction. The sewing machine 1 includes a fabric guide 14. The fabric guide 14 has a straight-line guide part 16 extending in the sewing direction and serves as a reference for the feeding of the fabric in the amplitude direction of a needle. A carriage 10 slides the fabric guide 14 in the amplitude direction of the needle each time by a prescribed distance. Thereby, the guide part 16 serves as the indicator of a position at which the fabric 100 is to be positioned for the sewing of a subsequent pattern row. Since the fabric 100 can be accurately positioned for the sewing of the subsequent pattern row, a high-quality pattern can be created.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
