Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily improve the function of the sewing machine by only exchanging the control panel by outputting an identification signal according to the type of a control panel when it is attached to the head position of the sewing machine and operating the function corresponding to the type of it.
CONSTITUTION: Plural types of control panels 5 corresponding to various functions are attached to a head position 4 of a sewing machine 1 to exchange freely. Based on the control of the control panel 5, various functions are operated through the control part. An identification signal output circuit which outputs dissimilar identification signals for each control panel is provided on each control panel 5. On the other hand, a control panel discrimination means discriminating the type of the control panel 5 and a special function control means operating the function corresponding to the control panel 5 are provided on the control part. In the sewing machine, when the control panel 5 is not attached, the only basic function is operated.
