Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a sewing machine having a hole required to move a feed bar on a sewing machine bed.
SOLUTION: Guide plates 16 and 17 are provided on a sewing machine bed 12, and a feed bar 21 for holding and sending cloth to be sewn is provided to move freely on the upper surface of the guide plates. A linear hole 18 is provided on the rear guide plate 17, and an arc-shaped hole 19 is provided on a gap part between the guide plates 16 and 17. A straight-line moving mechanism is provided inside of the sewing machine bed 12. The tip of a straight-line lever 28 and a base part of the feed bar 21 are joined with a pin 34 piercing through the linear hole 18. A swinging mechanism is provided inside of the sewing machine bed 12, and the end of an L-shaped lever 36 and the feed table 21 are joined with a pin 35 and a square block 43 piercing through the arc- shaped hole 19. A first cover 35, which always covers the upper surface of the linear hole 18, is fixed with the pin 34, and a second cover 45, which always covers the upper surface of the arc-shaped hole 19, is fixed with the pin 44.
