To provide an inexpensive shading device of simple structure capable of changing a shading range in response to the eye point.
When a driver gets in a vehicle, the driver adjusts inclination of an inner mirror 92 to see rear. Position, in which a slider 36aV is brought in contact with a variable resistor 36V, is changed by this adjustment, and as a result, voltage value to be detected by an ECU 30 is changed. The ECU 30 detects angle of the inner mirror 92 inclined in the vertical direction (vertical angle θV) based on the voltage value, and computes the eye point H=-L*tan(2*θV-θ0) from the inner mirror as the origin. This shading device simplified in structure and inexpensive in comparison with a current shading device can change a shading range in response to height of the eye point.
