To provide a shake detecting device capable of detecting a camera shake at a speed higher than that of the conventional device by shortening the operation time in the case of detecting the camera shake.
This shake detecting device utilizing the AF sensor of a camera for detecting the vibration state of the camera is equipped with a comparison means for comparing subject image data outputted from the AF sensor at specified time intervals, and a shake detection means for detecting a shake according to the image deviation of the subject image data based on the compared result by the comparison means. In the case of detecting the shake by the shake detection means, the positional deviation of the characteristic point of the subject image data is detected as pre-data.
