To provide a shape-measuring apparatus which can continuously and automatically measure a shape of a measuring face.
The shape-measuring apparatus has a running body movable along a measuring face, an X accelerometer 21 set to the running body, a Y accelerometer 23 and a mobile distance-measuring device 25 for measuring a moving distance of the running body. Values of an (x) coordinate and a (y) coordinate to an origin set at a predetermined position of the measuring face are obtained. While the running body stops, a value of dy/dx is obtained by an output signal X of the X accelerometer 21. While the running body moves, since a speed vx in an (x) direction of the running body is kept constant, a value of d2y/dx2 is obtained from an output signal Y of the Y accelerometer 23.
