Abstract:
To provide a shape measuring device that accurately measures the amount of curvature of measurement objects mutually differing in length.SOLUTION: A shape measuring device pertaining to an embodiment measures the amount of curvature of a measurement object that is a steel. This shape measuring device comprises a detection unit for detecting the positions of at least three edges out of the edge positions of the measurement object and a control unit for receiving plate length information from a host computer and transmitting it to the detection unit, and transmitting an indication to the detection unit that setting be made in accordance with a plate length. The detection unit makes setting so that the interval of the three edge positions for the case of the plate length having a first length is wider than the interval of the three edge positions for the case of the plate length having a second length shorter than the first length. The control unit calculates the amount of curvature of the measurement object on the basis of the at least three edge positions detected by the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
