Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight thin-walled hose with small resistance in housing and taking out due to inside lining by using weft yarn of flat cross section, making the minor axis direction thereof in agreement with the thickness direction of a jacket and weaving the yarns.

CONSTITUTION: Spun yarn 1 having preferably 0.8mm diameter is used as warp yarn and, e.g. nylon monofilament having the cross section in an elliptical form is used as weft yarn 2. Weaving thereof is then carried out so as to make the minor axis direction of the weft yarn in agreement with the thickness direction of a jacket 3. The resultant cloth is then lined with a rubber layer 4 to preferably 0.4mm thickness to afford the objective hose.
