PURPOSE: To provide a shearing machine which can position a fixing tool at the required position without being disturbed with a projecting part of a member to be worked.

CONSTITUTION: A shearing machine has a moving tool 10 attached at a piston rod 9 of a hydraulic operating type cylinder device and a fixing tool 11 arranged the front of a movable die, and the member to be worked is machined with shearing by cooperating the movable tool and the fixing tool. When the fixing tool is positioned at the prescribed position of the member to be worked W having a projecting part Wc, a recessing part 15 for receiving the projecting part, at least partially, is formed in the fixing tool.
