PURPOSE: To obtain a method for a material to be sheared hardly by which the pluck of a sheared part and the flagging of a sheared edge can be improved when a steel piece to be hardly sheared thermally which has small shearing resistance and is easy to expose its secondary shearing surface during shearing is sheared.
CONSTITUTION: A member for restricting a steel piece in a range of 0.3-2.0kg/mm2 is installed before the shearing start of both cut off side and remainder side of the steel piece 1 and the interval of a facing surface between an upper edge 2a and a lower edge 2b is made by 0.6mm or less after raising the hydraustatic pressure of a steel material shearing surface and shearing is carried out after making the surface temperature in a shearing time of a steel piece 1 in a range of 935-1060°C.
