To provide a shearing type dispersing device which can obtain the effect of local dispersion and averaging dispersion, and also enables further efficient and suitable dispersing treatment.
The shearing type dispersing device equipped with a rotor and an opposite member disposed opposite to the rotor, and passing a slurry or liquid mixture between the rotor and the opposite member in an outer circumference direction by a centrifugal force to disperse it includes: a plurality of gap parts formed between the rotor and the opposite member to conduct the mixture in the outer circumference direction; and a buffer part provided so as to connect the gap part located on the outermost outer circumference side and the gap part located on this inner circumference side to retain the mixture. In the shearing type dispersing device, the buffer part is formed such that a wall part on the outer circumference side that forms the buffer part is provided on the rotor.
