Title:
SHEARS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004261047
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a pair of shears intended for solving such problems that a blade is in a condition of projecting slantingly ahead about 110°-140° to the arm, so it is necessary for a user to handle through twisting the upper arm (a part above elbow), thus the user is forced to make extremely difficult posture when cutting branches and buds coming out into various directions such as pruning of trees, and it is hard for the user to take careful aim to parts to be cut as the blade faces slantingly ahead to the lower arm.

The pair of shears 1 is used for cutting off a part of a plant. Two blades 2 composing a cutting part and a handle 3 for opening/closing the blades each open/close in almost the same plane surface. The user grasps the handle with one hand to operate. The shears has on each free end of the handle a support part as a part to be contacted to the palm of the hand in use and projected from a plane surface, in which the handle opens/closes, into at least one direction at an angle of 30°-90°.
