To allow pruning shears to be inserted into a sheath at a natural angle from the upper rear side of the sheath without burdening arms and hands, even though arms need to be largely bent and also hands need to be unnaturally bent for insertion of the pruning shears, in a conventional sheath for storing the pruning shears into the sheath in the vertical direction from the insertion inlet of the sheath.

The sheath internal space for storing the pruning shears comprises a space 9 for storing the pruning shears with their blade bodies closed and a space 8 for storing the pruning shears with their blade bodies opened in the position adjacent to the space 9. In order to allow the pruning shears to be smoothly inserted into the space 8, a wide and inclined insertion inlet of the sheath is provided.
