Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exactly prevent the disintegration of soil and sand by a method in which a sheathing holding frame consisting of rectangular frames of a smaller width than that of an excavated trench is hung down and held in the excavated trench, sheet piles are erected, a waling is provided to hold the sheet piles, and then the sheathing holding frames are removed.

CONSTITUTION: When burying a gas tube, a given width of a trench 1 is excavated in the road, and then sheathing holding frames 2 consisting of rectangular frames of a smaller width than that of the trench are hung down and held horizontally in two stages at an adequate interval by a manner that a wire rope 4 hooked on knobs 3 at fours places before and behind and right and left on the internal side of the holding frame 2 is fixed to an angular steel pipe 5 laid the opening edge of the trench 1. Then, sheet piles 6 are erected between the trench 1 and the sheathing holding frame 2 and the trench 1 is further excavated to a given depth while pressing down the sheet piles 6. Afterwards, walings 7 are attached horizontally in two stages to the sheet piles 6, cut beams 8 are laid on the walings 7 to hold the sheet piles 6, and then the sheathing holding frame 2 is removed from the trench 1.
