PURPOSE: To provide a sheet carrying device in which an image recording part and a sheet housing member are arranged above and below and by which a recording sheet can be carried to the image recording part without reversing the obverse and reverse.

CONSTITUTION: A recording sheet 3 separated and fed one by one by a paper feeding roller 4 and a separating pad 5 is switched back from a cassette 2 installed in a bottom part of a printer body 1 by reciprocally rotating switchback roller pairs 7, and is carried to an image recording part 8 above the cassette 2. According to this constitution, the recording sheet 3 can be carried to the image recording part 8 without reversing the obverse and reverse.
