Abstract:
To provide a sheet conveying device capable of suppressing the occurrence of troubles in a process of identifying a drive part causing abnormality as much as possible.SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device includes: a plurality of drive parts for rotating each of a plurality of rollers arranged on a conveying path of a sheet; a detection part for detecting the occurrence of abnormality caused on any of the plurality of drive parts by an OR operation of an operation signal showing the respective driving states of the plurality of drive parts; a determination part for determining whether or not troubles may occur in a process of identifying the drive part causing abnormality out of the plurality of drive parts when the abnormality is detected by the detection part; a decision part for deciding a drive pattern of causing no troubles out of a plurality of drive patterns for identifying the drive part causing abnormality based on results of determination obtained in the determination part; and a drive control part for controlling driving of the drive parts. The drive control part drives the plurality of drive parts according to the drive patterns decided by the decision part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
