Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying apparatus capable of downsizing further by maintaining high reliability of skew correction by gate resistance method irrespective of curvature of a sheet conveying path.SOLUTION: The gate(230) is placed at a terminal end of a curved path(300) so as to be struck by the tip(LDE) of a sheet(SH5), and prevents the tip from proceeding, which resulting in generating, at the tip, moment(TRE) around normal of the sheet, and is pushed away by the tip, allowing the tip to proceed. The guide(320) is arranged outside of a curve of the curved path and includes a protrusion portion(340) on a surface(321) facing a moving space of the sheet. The protruding portion is located inside both edges of the sheet and protrudes into the moving space of the sheet. When the leading edge of the sheet strikes the gate, the protruding portion comes into contact with a center portion(CTR) of the sheet and moment(TRC) around a contact position(CNP) with the protrusion portion is generated in the central portion according to the moment generated at the tip thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
