To provide a compact device having a same-edge reversal mechanism for receiving a sheet from its front end, turning it over, and outputting it from the same front end which has been received first.
This device includes: the same-edge reversal mechanism 21 which comprises a reversal conveyance path 24 provided with a paper conveying structure having a U-shaped cross section in a direction substantially perpendicular to a predetermined paper conveyance direction, and a paper conveyance path for conveying the paper in the horizontal direction to turn over the paper; and a paper feed tray 1c arranged in a space area formed by the paper conveying structure having the U-shaped cross section of the same-edge reversal mechanism 21, to store the paper. The space are formed by the sheet conveying structure having the U-shaped cross section can be effectively used as an area for storing the paper. Thus, an image forming device 100 with the same-edge reversal mechanism 21 mounted thereon can be made compact without enlarging it.
