To provide a sheet transport device which can increase frictional force between a surface of a roller and a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet transport device includes a roller (49) which transports a sheet (D). The roller (49) has: a surface (F1) which contacts with the sheet (D); and a groove (S1) formed on the surface (F1).
