Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the attitude change of small size sheets without causing the enlargement of a device by generating skew conveyance by plural speed difference rollers disposed in the direction right-angled to the sheet conveying direction from a paper supply part.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet attitude changing means 13 is used at the time of performing reduction copying to an A4 size sheet from an A3 size sheet, for instance. In this case, the A4 size sheet accommodated in the cross-feed state is changed by 90° in the carrier direction and set into the longitudinally fed state. This changing means 13 is provided with plural rollers 15, 16, 17 disposed coaxially and a guide member 18, and the rollers 15, 16, 17 rotatably supported in the independent state are rotated at different rotating speeds. The skew of the sheet is thereby generated forcibly to change the direction of the sheet in relation to the carrier direction. The guide member 18 forms part of a U-turn carrier path, and a radius (r) smaller than the radius of curvature R of each speed difference roller is set to guide the sheet.
