Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of discharge failure of sheets.SOLUTION: A sheet discharge device counts the discharge number of sheets discharged to a discharge tray, elevates the discharge tray until an upper surface detection unit outputs an upper surface detection signal after the discharge tray is lowered by a prescribed amount as state determination processing when the discharge number exceeds the prescribed number, performs processing for counting the elevation time from the elevation start of the discharge tray to output of the upper surface detection signal by the upper surface detection unit, discharges the next sheet in a state where the upper surface detection unit outputs the upper surface detection signal when the elevation time is equal to or less than the reference time, and discharges the next sheet after performing correction processing for lowering the discharge tray when the elevation time exceeds the reference time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
