Title:
SHEET DISINTEGRATING IN WATER AND HYGIENIC MATERIAL USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3387210
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce hygienic materials which can be discarded in a flush toilet such as sanitary napkin or paper diapers by laminating a liquid-absorbing sheet on both surfaces, with a liquid-permeating sheet and a liquid leak-proofing sheet separately wherein all of these sheets are disintegrative in water.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid-permeating and water-disintegrative sheet comprising a pulp, natural fibers or synthetic fibers coated with at least one selected from N- methoxymethylated nylon and cellulose acetate propionate and a fatty acid amide in amounts of 1-20g/m2 and l 50g/m2, respectively, and a liquid leak-proofing and water-disintegrative sheet comprising pulp, natural fibers or synthetic fibers coated with a polyvinyl alcohol which contains 10-80% of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol, has 300-700 average degree of polymerization and 80-99% degree of saponification are prepared. Both of these sheets are laminated on both surface of a water-absorbing and water-disintegrative sheet comprising pulp, natural fibers or synthetic fibers which are untreated and contain high water-absorbing polymer, the laminated product is heat-sealed in a prescribed form, then an adhesive layer is formed at appropriate places on the leak-proofing face and a water-disintegrative peeling paper is applied thereto whereby a hygienic material disintegrating in water is obtained.
