PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of a sheet distributor in such a way that a sheet expelling part is provided on the opposite side to a tray, and a sheet conveying means having a sheet introducing part and a supporting axle on the other side is pivoted by the supporting axle as its center.

CONSTITUTION: Initially, a sheet expelling part 35 is kept static opposite to a tray opening part 15a at the lowest position. And, the first sheet fed out of a duplicator 13 comes into a sheet introducing part 32 of a sheet conveying means 17. Then, a pair of rollers 22, 30 bite its tip in by guiding through a guide plate 33 on the upper side. The sheet is fed through the sheet expelling part 35 into a tray 15 at the first stage. This is detected by a sheet expelling sensor 36, a motor 46 is driven, and the sheet conveying means 17 is pivoted by a supporting axle 20 as its center. Thus, by pivoting the sheet conveying means by the supporting axle as its center, the constitution is simplified without need of wires, pulleys, etc.
