This sheet feeder includes, on a side of a sucking transport part 300, a tip abutting part 221 having a tip contact surface 221S1 contacting tip sides in the transport direction of sheets P stored in a sheet storage part 200, and a rise prevention member 261 coming into contact with the sheet P floated by airflow from a blowing part for generating the airflow for floating the sheet from a side face orthogonal to the transport direction of the sheet P stored in the sheet storage part 200 to prevent rise of a part of the sheet P brought into contact therewith.
