Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of precluding a trouble generated at mounting caused by hopping-up of a coil spring and facilitating the sheet replenishing operation.
SOLUTION: A flapper is borne in a sheet feed cassette in such a way as movably in the vertical direction, and a leaf spring 53 is fixed to a shaft member 50 installed rotatably on the undersurface of the flapper. One end of the shaft member 50 is coupled with a rotary member 52 protruding at the outer side face of the sheet feed cassette. When the cassette is to to be set, a projection formed on the rotary member 52 is in rotation engaged with an engagement part of the device body, and the shaft member 50 rotates to cause the leaf spring 53 to push up the flapper.
