Abstract:
To provide a sheet feeding device that can properly feed sheets regardless of the number of sheets stacked on a sheet stacking part.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device repeatedly executes the process of feeding sheets floated by an air blowing part to the suction feeding part (S801) and counting the number of sheets detected by a feeding detection sensor (S803), when the number of sheets is less than the threshold number (S804: No), every time sheets are detected by the feeding detection sensor, drives a lifting mechanism so that the sheet stacking part rises by the amount determined based on the thickness of the sheets stacked on a sheet stacking part (S806/S807), and when the number of sheets reaches the threshold number (S804: Yes), stops the sheet stacking part from lifting until no sheet is detected by the elevation detection sensor (S808: No).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
