Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the image formation quantity which can be processed per hour and secure the long life of the image formation system of a photoreceptor, etc., by reducing the useless operations, without increasing the transport speed of an image formation part by reducing the sheet interval of the fed sheets to the necessary min. limit.
CONSTITUTION: A control roller 6 which can control the sheet transport speed is installed contiguously in the transport upstream part of an image formation part where a transfer/separation part 12 is arranged, and the sheet transport speed of the control roller 6 is made higher than the image formation speed during an arbitrary period ranging from the time when the top edge of a sheet P is nipped by the control roller 6 to the arrival at the image formation part, and the sheet interval between the preceding sheet is reduced. Accordingly, the image formation which is efficient by the portion that the unnecessary image formation operation as in the case having the wide sheet interval is not executed can be achieved.
