Abstract:
To provide a sheet feeding device with few measurement error, not requiring a measurement time setting sensor, and used also as a sheet existence sensor.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device comprises: a loading part (a sheet feeding tray 50) for loading sheets; conveyance means (a sheet feeding roller 60) for conveying the sheet loaded on the loading part; a disk member (an encoder 210) capable of contacting with the sheet loaded on the loading part; detection means (a sensor 220) for detecting the disk member; and holding means (an arm 230) for swingably holding the disk member. The detection means can detect the rotation amount of the disk member following the conveyance of the sheet when conveying the sheet, and further can detect the existence of the sheet in the sheet loading part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
