Abstract:
To provide a sheet folding apparatus, an image forming apparatus and an image forming system capable of eliminating unintended bending and twisting of a sheet and performing good folding.SOLUTION: There is provided a sheet folding apparatus 1, including: first sheet conveying means 11 for holding a part of a sheet and applying a conveying force to the sheet; second sheet conveying means 13 and 14 arranged at downstream of the first sheet conveying means in a sheet conveying direction, and configured to hold a part of the sheet and apply a conveying force to the sheet; folding portion forming means 12 and 13 for forming a folding portion on the sheet by holding a folded back portion formed on the sheet portion between the first sheet conveying means and the second sheet conveying means by holding the part of the sheet by the first sheet conveying means and applying to the sheet a conveying force for returning the sheet to the upstream side in the sheet conveying direction by the second sheet conveying means. The conveying force of the first sheet conveying means is smaller than the conveying force of the second sheet conveying means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
