Abstract:
To form a fold of a sheet accurately at a predetermined position.SOLUTION: The sheet folding device includes: a receiving unit 50 that receives a sheet that is folded and conveyed with a first folded fold as a head; a second folding roller 15 and a third folding roller 16 that sandwich and convey the sheet and perform a second fold to the sheet in order to further fold the sheet received by the receiving unit 50 and stopped in a guide path 21 of the receiving unit 50; and a pressing unit 60 that presses the sheet received by the receiving unit 50 against the guide path 21 before the second folding roller 15 and the third folding roller sandwich and convey the sheet. The pressing unit 60 includes a pressing member 61 that presses a sheet surface of a folded area of the first folded sheet from the folded side toward a sheet rear end side. Since the pressing member presses from the sheet folded side toward the sheet rear end side, a sheet end (fold) P1a can be accurately formed at a predetermined position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
