Abstract:
To provide a sheet folding device capable of folding a sheet while avoiding an increase in a number of parts and an increase in a size, and a sheet post-processing device including the same.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device includes a sheet conveyance path, a first folding roller pair, a first folding guide, and a conveyance roller. The first folding roller pair is composed of a first roller and a second roller that is contacted with an upstream side of the first roller to form a first folding nip. The folding guide is movable between a folding position in which a folding part of a sheet conveyed on the sheet conveyance path is guided to the first folding nip part and a retreat position away from the first folding nip part. The conveyance roller is composed of a first assist roller pair that conveys the sheet along the sheet conveyance path together with the second roller. The first folding guide has a rotation fulcrum downstream of the first folding nip part in a conveyance direction, and is rotatably supported at the rotation fulcrum between the folding position and the retreat position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
