To stabilize a paper feeding process by preventing two sheets of a sheet-form article from being picked, and improve the productivity and the reliability by pressing stacked sheet-form articles from the top, warping them by pressing them while jetting air from the side surfaces, and separating them by lifting the article while attracting it.
By extending a cylinder 1, the upper surface of stacked sheet- form articles is pressed by a pressing member 2, and at the same time, air is jetted to the side surfaces of the sheet-form articles from an air block 3. Then, by advancing a handling guide 4, the upper end portion of the sheet-from article is pushed in from the side surface, and the sheet-form article is warped and lifted by cooperating with a pressing collar 6. Then, by the rotation of a shaft 7, a revolving block 8 and a suction member 5 are rolled forward, and the end portion of the sheet-form article is attracted by the suction member 5, and is separate-held, and then, the end portion of the sheet-form article which is attracted by the suction member 5 is erected by reversing the shaft 7, and the sheet-form article is delivered to a carrying section equipped with a gripping mechanism which descends from the upper side.
