PURPOSE: To provide a sheet guide device which is capable of readily mounting a printing sheet by contacting the end of the sheet with a sprocket pin and disposing the first sprocket hole from the end of the sheet at the rotary locus at the end of the sprocket hole.

CONSTITUTION: A sprocket wheel 2 is maintained at the prescribed position, a printing sheet 10 is inserted from an inserting inlet of a sheet guide 8, and the end of the sheet 10 is contacted with the end of the sheet 10. In this position the sheet is disposed by considering the shape of the sheet guide 8 disposed at the rotary locus C at the end of the sprocket pin 3 with respect to the first sprocket hole. When the sprocket wheel 2 is rotated in a direction designated by an arrow B, the sprocket pin 3b is always engaged with the sprocket hole 11a, and the sheet can be effectively fed.
