PURPOSE: To facilitate the mounting of a sheet position correcting device by forming the sheet position correcting means in one unit which is removably attached to the body of a sheet handling device, and by making the mounting position of the sheet position correcting device adjustable substantially orthogonal to the sheet conveying direction.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet position correcting device 43 is formed in one unit by attaching several parts between a front side plate 130 and a rear side plate 131. A flange 55 extending from the rear side plate 131 is formed therein with a mounting cut-out 68, and the body of a copying machine is formed thereon with a hook 69 adapted to be fitted into the cut-out 68. Accordingly, when the correction device 43 is devised, the cut-out 68 is inserted onto the hook 69 so as to laterally position the device (in the conveying direction of a sheet P), and further, the correcting device 43 is shifted suitably orthogonal to the conveying direction of a copying sheet so as to be aligned with another part of the conveying path. Thereafter, the correcting device 43 is secured to the body of the copying machine by a screw 72 through a slotted hole 71 forming in a flange 70.
