Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a paddle and reduce noises by providing a control means for intermittently actuating a pressing means.
SOLUTION: When a paddle solenoid 450 is turned ON by a control means and a driving lever 458 is protruded, a first arm 453 is raised and a second arm 456 is moved counterclockwise around a rotary shaft 455. Following this movement, a paddle 406 is also rotated counterclockwise to a position to be protruded to the upper side of a sheet placing part. Then, the number of copied documents is counted, the paddle 406 is intermittently driven by, for instance exciting the paddle solenoid 450 for each specified number of documents for a specified time and, sheets are pressed by this paddle 406. Thus, compared with driving of the paddle 406 for each discharging of sheets, the number of contacts between the paddle 406 and the sheets on the sheet placing part is reduced, the durability of the paddle 406 is improved and noises are reduced.
