Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the carrying accuracy by the shock due to the restoring force when a rear end of a stiff sheet card is passed through a U-turn pass in a sheet carrying device.
SOLUTION: A U-turn pass G is formed on an outer circumferential surface 1a of a carrying roller 1 opposite to an outer guide surface of a guide member 2. The shape of a terminal end 2A of the outer guide surface 2a forming a part of an outlet Gb of the U-turn pass G is formed not straight but in a tapered, projected shape in a center part. When a card is carried in the U-turn pass G, the rear edge of the card is moved to the terminal end 2A so as to rub the outer guide surface 2a, and released from the regulation after passing through the terminal end 2A. When the terminal end 2A is straight, the rear end is restored into a flat shape in one stroke due to the stiffness of the card to generated the shock. The shock can be moderated by forming the terminal end 2A to be tapered so that the rear end of the card gradually passes through the terminal end 2A.
