PURPOSE: To protect the electric circuit of a sheet material feed device and a picture image forming device even if electric noise is applied from inside and outside of the sheet material feed device by forming a guide member out of conductive material, and making it possible to connect a ground in the device with the ground of the picture image forming device through the guide member.

CONSTITUTION: Under a condition where a sheet material feed device A is installed on a laser beam printer B, A guide member 6a which is the frame ground of the sheet material feed device A and a chassis 13 which is the frame ground of the laser beam printer B are in an electric connection with each other. It is thus possible to discharge static electricity generated by friction and so forth, static electricity discharged from a human body in supplying the sheet material, or electric charge which has been accumulated in the sheet material feed device A since its installation is discharged to the chassis 13 of the laser beam printer B without remaining in the sheet material feed device when the sheet material S is fed.
