PURPOSE: To utilize a wide space on a tray side and perform the jam processing of a sheet material by providing a pressing state releasing means of a separating means and a feeding means which is connected to a pressing means pressing the separating means and the feeding means and interlocked with the rotation of the tray.

CONSTITUTION: When a sheet material S is jammed between a separating roller 23 and a feed roller 24, the roller 24 is rotated in one direction only, thus the sheet material S can not be withdrawn in the direction (b). When a lever 22a is rotated in the direction A, the support member 22 of an intermediate tray 21 is interlockingly rotated in the direction A. The tray 21 is likewise rotated, and a releasing lever 32 is rotated in the direction γ by the tare weight of the tray 21. A spring 31 with a natural length is extended, and a shaft 28 protruded on an arm 27 is pulled in the direction (c). The arm 27 is rotated centering a support shaft 26 in the direction β, and the pressing of the roller 23 to the roller 24 is released. The jammed sheet material S can be easily removed in the direction (b) from a wide space on the tray 21 side.
