PURPOSE: To stick a sheet material to the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical member without creation of wrinkles by converting the moving force of a relatively moving supporting device to the rotating force of the cylindrical member.

CONSTITUTION: A take-up bobbin 2 is rotatably supported by a first supporting device 11, and a pressure sensitive adhesive tape 1 supported on a second supporting device 21 is disposed opposite to the take-up bobbin 2. A cloth covered table 22 is moved close to the first supporting device 11 by a cloth covered table moving cylinder 31, and with the adhesive tape 1 brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the take-up bobbin 2, the movable table 12 of the first supporting device 11 is moved in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the axis of the take-up bobbin 2. The moving force of the first supporting table 11 is converted to the torque of the take-up bobbin 2 through the frictional contact between a continuum 52 and a tube 53 which form a motion converting device 51. Thus, the take-up bobbin 2 is rotated in contact with the adhesive tape 1 so that the adhesive tape is stuck to the outer peripheral surface thereof in such a manner as to be transferred thereto.
