Abstract:
To provide a sheet pressing device which can suppress the increase in the size and cost of the device and efficiently perform additional-folding.SOLUTION: A sheet pressing device includes: a carry-in port 119 which receives a sheet having a previously-formed fold; a plurality of additional-folding rollers 114 which are supported by a supporting member arranged on the downstream side of the carry-in port; a lower side folding guide 111 which is arranged so as to face the additional-folding rollers; a first movement mechanism which moves between the pressing position for pressing the fold by bringing the additional-folding rollers close to the lower side folding guide and the retreat position where the additional-folding rollers are moved from the pressing position in a direction apart from the sheet; and a second movement mechanism which moves the additional-folding rollers along the fold. The length of the array of the plurality of additional-folding rollers is defined so that one end of the fold is arranged between the two adjacent additional-folding rollers at one position and the additional-folding roller at the other end position is arranged on the fold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
