Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform binding processing without increasing the size of a device, without wasting time and sheets for the binding processing, regardless of the number of sheets subjected to the binding processing, and without generating binding failure.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises: an accumulation part 330 which accumulates sheets; a striking part 341 which is provided above the accumulation part 330, and strikes a binding needle into the sheets accumulated in the accumulation part 330; a needle receiving part 351 which receives the needle tip of the binding needle stricken by the striking part 341; an action part 352 which makes the needle receiving part 351 in the state of receiving the needle tip of the binding needle fold the needle tip of the binding needle; and a sheet processing control part 505 which determines the work volume performed by the action part 352 to the needle receiving part 351 in accordance with the number of sheets accumulated in the accumulation part 330 and makes the action part 352 act so as to perform the determined work volume.
