Abstract:
To solve such a problem that, when performing folding processing to a plurality of places of a sheet by using a plurality of roller pairs, the sheet subjected to the folding processing has a curl (curve).SOLUTION: A sheet folding device includes first folding means which forms a first fold to the sheet with a first nip of a first roller pair provided along a sheet conveyance path of a sheet, and second folding means which forms a second fold to the sheet formed with the first fold with a second nip of a second roller pair provided on the downstream side of the first folding means for the conveyance direction of the sheet, and performs control so as to release formation of the first nip in the middle of formation of the second fold by the second folding means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
